Stage 1 opening on Monday

Stage 1 opening on Monday

Thomas' Timepieces will be re-opening tomorrow, Monday 11th, with the stage 1 relaxing of lockdown restrictions.

As per government regulations, customers will need to show a double vaccination certificate (digital or printed) or valid medical exemption to enter the store. Masks, check-in with the QR code (we can provide alternate check-in if you do not have a smartphone) and social distancing are also required, with a maximum of 5 customers inside at any one time.

We ask that customers respect these requirements as they are mandatory by law and a condition of entry.

Hunter Valley Lockdown

Due to the snap lockdown across the Hunter Valley, we will be closed from the 6th until restrictions are lifted.

On re-opening, normal covid practices will continue in-store, including social-distancing and check-in.

Stay home. Stay safe.

We are open again after repairs

We are open again after repairs

We have completed enough repairs to the workshop to open again. Some of our equipment is still being repaired, so some work repair times will be impacted. We will be back up to full efficiency ASAP.

We are closed due to a water leak

We are closed due to a water leak

The shop has suffered serious damage due to a water leak from the premises upstairs, so we are currently closed for refitting. Due to the location of the leak, it unfortunately bypassed our well-tested flood protection and entered the workshop.

Timepiece repairs are getting back up to speed as damaged equipment is repaired or cleared. We are currently taking repairs through our friends at Betta Shoe Repairs located around the corner at 184 Hunter St in the Newcastle Mall.

Free mall parking on Saturdays

Due to the increasing difficulty in finding parking in the mall due to construction and road works, Newcastle Now and the Newcastle Council are providing free parking on Saturdays in the Council car park until the end of the year.

The car park is accessible from King Street, directly below the Cathedral.
