Supporting web open standards

This website was built in house by Thomas' Timepieces

If a watchmaker can do this with code, just imagine what we could do with your timepiece...

Fully responsive

Built on the Bootstrap 3 framework, this website automatically adjusts the size and positioning of page elements for the best viewing on all devices, from desktops to smartphones.

This website was hand-coded using the latest markup standards for the fastest on-load speeds and modern browser support. SASS styling allows the parallax scrolling effects as well as graceful deprecation for older browsers.

W3C Validated was hand-coded to perfect standards using HTML5, SASS, Jquery and RDFa 1.1 Core and passes W3C code validation to ensure that the user experience is exactly as intended.

Using the Jquery library enables the use of advanced animations, cross-browser support and verification.

Retina ready

Using retina.js, this website automatically optimises images for high-dpi retina and 4K displays.

CloudFlare CDN

By hosting static files such as images on CloudFlare's Content Distribution Network we can provide significantly faster load times worldwide.

Using the Web Accessibility Initiative – Accessible Rich Internet Applications markup combined with the latest HTML5 standards, our site automatically detects when a screen reader is in use and adapts the layout to be far easier to use for visitors with a visual impairment.

Accelerated Mobile Pages

AMP is an open-source initiative to optimise and cache compatible websites to allow them to load almost instantly for mobile devices.

WCAG 2.0 Level AA Compliant

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). They consist of a set of best-practice guidelines for making content accessible, primarily for people with disabilities including compatibility markup for screenreaders.
